The second graders visited the Soldier Township Fire Department as a culminating activity to our study on fire safety and prevention. The students had the opportunity to visit with firefighters, see the gear that they use in firefighting, and view the equipment on their trucks. Be sure to have a conversation with your child about what to do at your house in case of fire. Review escape routes, family meeting places, and how to stay safe.
